The Castlebar Centre is an approved Satellite Centre of the College of Hairdressing, Connaught. The centre is located at Newtown Castlebar and provides an opportunity for trainee hairdressers to achieve the Full National Vocational Diploma in Hairdressing on a part time Day release basis. Open on Mondays only, the centre offers the NVQ City and Guilds Hairdressing Diploma in Phase 1 and Phase 2. This year Nightclass students can achieve a qualification in the Shampooing (GH8) and Set and Dress Hair (GH11) City & Guilds units. These units make up part of the NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing and a candidate has up to 5 years to complete the Diploma.
