Students from non EEA countries can now apply to complete their FETAC Level 5 Hairdressing Certificate at College of Hairdressing Connaught. To attain a visa students must be registered for a full time programme and the award must be included in the Internationalisation Register administered by the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland (NQAI) .Students require a standard of English IELTS at Academic Level.
Since 1 January 2011 a 'New Immigration Regime for Full Time Non-EEA students' has been produced and is a available on the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration website. Please view also information on completing online visa application.
Non EEA students who intend staying in Ireland more than 90 days must register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) Office at 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.
Registration with the GNIB requires proof:
- that the student is enrolled on a course that is included in the Internationalisation Register
- a letter of acceptance from the college confirming you have been accepted and enrolled on a full time course (min 15 hrs per week)
- proof of payment of fees to the college.
- you must have access to €7000 as well as course fees.
- private medical insurance.
There is a charge of €150 with GNIB each time you register. |
